Delamare Park

Overview

Delamare Park is our first gas-free housing development. All 82 homes have no gas supply or gas connection. Instead, all of the homes are fitted with an air source heat pump as standard.

Delamare Park is the first gas-free housing development built by Barratt. All 82 homes at the development in Nunney in Frome, Somerset, have no gas supply or gas connection.

Instead, all of the homes are fitted with an air source heat pump as standard. This is a clean, highly efficient way to meet a home’s heating and hot water needs, and is completely emissions free. There is also electric car charging for every home too.

On top of the low carbon features, the development has more than three acres of open space as well as a range of measures to support local wildlife including nearly 200 new trees, hedgehog highways and a five-metre ecological boundary which will be preserved for nature.

Sales at Delamare Park have been strong and it is a really popular development. This follows a study by Barratt which found that 70% of people want cost efficient homes that save money, whilst 60% want to reduce emissions.

Delamare Park is named after Sir John de la Mare, a knight in the court of King Edward III who built nearby Nunney Castle in the 14th century. The development features a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.
