Catford Green, London

Overview

Catford Green is an exciting new development, providing 588 homes in an area of South London undergoing extensive regeneration.

Barratt London was chosen by the Mayor of London to redevelop the 11-acre site, the former Catford greyhound stadium, which had stood derelict for ten years before it was transferred to the Greater London Authority.

We are working with the Mayor and Lewisham Borough Council to deliver 588 homes, including 60 shared ownership and 113 affordable rental properties. Work started on site in spring 2014 and will create more than 1,000 jobs. Sales have been strong and the development is scheduled for completion in summer 2018.

As part of the development plan the River Ravensbourne will be opened up and a new pathway will lead onto the award-winning Ladywell Fields Park. A new pedestrian footbridge will be built, providing convenient access to Catford Town Centre.

Flanked by two rail stations, Catford Green offers excellent travel links with London’s major stations.

Catford forms a key part of the London Plan regeneration project, which is set to dramatically improve the facilities and amenities available to local residents. Mayor Boris Johnson said: "This will be a wonderful place to live, with amazing transport links, there will be lots of affordable homes."
