Brooklands, Milton Keynes

Overview

Brooklands is a joint venture scheme with the housing association Places for People, and is the most significant residential led development in Milton Keynes in recent years.

Brooklands is a great example of Barratt working in partnership. In February 2014, Places for People (PFP) and Barratt formed a joint venture to develop the remainder of this Greenfield site’s residential land. PFP has retained responsibility for the primary infrastructure, open spaces, neighbourhood centre and community facilities, whilst Barratt will deliver 2,074 new homes.

The project started on site in June 2014 and has an eleven year build programme. To maximise the sales opportunity, the site is dual branded, with both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes each operating sales outlets. Across both brands the development offers a mixture of two, three and four bedroom houses suitable for first time buyers to larger family homes.

The site is in a fantastic location - set on the edge of Milton Keynes, it offers the balance of lakes and peaceful open spaces, yet is close enough to the heart of Milton Keynes, to allow residents to enjoy the excellent transport and amenities the city offers.

A new town square is to be built next to Brooklands, with shops, cafés and restaurants. Brooklands Ridge offers green space with panoramic views and carefully designed landscaped paths.

Sales launched in July 2014 and to date have been very strong. Our first residents moved in in December 2014.
