Barratt sets new high quality awards record
SITE managers working for Barratt Group have won the highest number of Pride in the Job Quality Awards for an unprecedented sixth consecutive year.
The housebuilder’s 82 Quality Awards saw it extend a winning run which began in 2005 – no other company has won the most awards in more than four consecutive years since the competition began in 1980.
The record-breaking achievement comes just weeks after Barratt became the first major housebuilder ever to be awarded an official five-star rating for customer satisfaction by the Home Builders Federation.
The Pride in the Job Awards are the most coveted in the industry and are awarded after the construction standard setting body NHBC (National House-Building Council) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality housing developments.
Almost 13,000 site managers throughout the UK were judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety.
