Awards

In early 2011 Barratt Group was confirmed as meriting the maximum five star official rating after 20,000 new home buyers took part in the annual Home Builders Federation customer satisfaction survey. This is the second year running that Barratt has won a five star rating – the only major national housebuilder ever to do so.
Asked if they were satisfied with the quality of their new home, and whether they would recommend their builder to a friend, more than 90 per cent of Barratt customers answered ‘yes’. A score in excess of 90 per cent gives a housebuilder the rare and prestigious five star status.
In 2010 site managers working for Barratt Group won the highest number of Pride in the Job Quality Awards for an unprecedented sixth consecutive year.
Our record-breaking 82 Quality Awards saw us extend a winning run which began in 2005 – no other company has won the most awards in more than four consecutive years since the competition began in 1980.
The Pride in the Job Awards are the industry’s most prestigious national awards for building the best quality new homes in Britain.
Barratt was also named Homebuilder of the Year in the 2010 Daily Telegraph British Homes Awards, recognising our commitment to strong architectural design, innovative construction methods and build quality, as well as environmental initiatives.
Other recent accolades include:
- Regeneration projects in Bethnal Green and Rotherhithe, London won coveted Housing Design Awards, which aim to celebrate housing “of great ambition and vision”.
- Our Hanham Hall development near Bristol, which will be the first Code for Sustainable Homes Level 6 community in the UK when it is completed in 2011, was judged Housing Project of the Year in the 2010 Daily Telegraph British Homes Awards.
